Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She received a B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis is is an American producer and actress who has performed in theatre as well as television and film productions also, has been present on both sides of the screen. She began acting on stage before appearing in independent, mainstream as well as television shows. She was known for appearing as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's huge The Book of Negroes. The series both received reviews, and she also took home a variety of prizes. She started her career acting in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. The actress has appeared as a character on Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In the film industry she is most famous for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. In her television work, she's been recognized for her part in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
