Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. She made her screen debut with The Channel 4 film Sex Traffic where she received the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. Fluent in French, German and English. Her mother was a violinist, and her father is professor of theater at one Romania's most prestigious drama schools. "The Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008 she was named an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She was a teacher in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu, Iasi for 4 years. bAnamaria is an Romanian Actress, born 01 April 1978, Iasi Romania. Anamaria Marinca, an actress who is of Romanian origins has made her screen debut on television in the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her performance in this film. Alongside her impressive performance in her debut film she will also remember her part in the Romanian Art Film 4 Months 3 weeks, 2 days which earned her many accolades, among them the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 week si 2 zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days) by Cristian Mungiu. It won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). In addition, she appeared as a child in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was a character in the film Yasim Anwar in BBC miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She then had an important role in 2014's Fury where she played Irma who was the German aunt of Emma.
