Mary McCormack was an American actress who is famous for her portrayals as the lead character in TV programs like "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Her work is also well-known due to her roles in movies such as "Private Parts," "Deep Impact', "True Crime as well as '1408'. McCormack, who was born into a family without any entertainment connection in any way to her family tree, is the child of a clinical therapist and the proprietor of an Ice Cream Shop. Her career began at the age of 12 when she appeared in the stage version of 'Amahl and the Night Visitors, an opera for Christmas. At the beginning of her professional career, she was only 12 when performed on stage in an opera production entitled "Amahl's Night Visitor". As she continued her career in theatre, McCormack eventually was cast in roles on television and film. McCormack has been recognized as one of the best known and most versatile performers. Michael Morris is her husband and she has 3 daughters.
