
Drew Blythe Barrymore was born February 22, 1975. [1] She is an American actress and director. She is part of the Barrymore acting family. She has won numerous awards and nominations which include the Golden Globe Award as well as an Screen Actors Guild Award. There are also nominations for seven Emmy Awards, and a British Academy Film Award. She received an award on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2004.Barrymore became famous as a child actor after her breakout part in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. After a very publicized childhood marked by drug and alcohol abuse, she wrote an autobiography Little Girl Lost. She was a major character in many successful films of the 1990s as well as the 2000s such as Charlie's Angels. Barrymore played with Adam Sandler on three films, The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. Firestarter, Donnie Darko and Riding in Cars with Boys are just a few of her films. Her debut as a director, Whip It, also included her. Grey Gardens was her first film. She was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as she was awarded a Golden Globe Award. She was the main character in Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet. She is currently hosting The Drew Barrymore Show, the talk-show that is syndicated.
